I feel like I should make a wish or something...
Judgement Kazzy : This channel never fails to deliver. Your content is amazing guys!
RacingGameArchive : Wheres the views? :((((
Vasilina Sorokoputova : I am feeling many feelings, thank You for such a thoughtful video!
S K : Every time I return to this channel I’m surprised with the quality of the scripts, the editing, and the solid analysis. The most surprising thing is that youtube isn’t directing more people to your videos. Keep at it girls ♥️
Calpsotoma : I'm writing this video essay about Jojo Rabbit and read some reviews of it to see what people thought of it. One from the New Yorker said it was basically engaging in both sides ism, saying there were some very fine Nazis that would take pity or prove themselves not that monstrous. I was pretty baffled by this reading because the film was pretty clear with its intent. It's not that "there are some very fine Nazis", but people with empathy for others can't stay Nazis. "Nazi" isn't some essential thing that's just baked into people. Germany, as it turns out, is one of the nations most resistant to fascism today.

I think Wattam is getting at a similar idea. It's not that Trump and his lot should just be forgiven, but if they were to have the empathy and humility to understand and fess up to what they've done, that would be enough to start rebuilding.

That being said, this game (and also maybe Jojo Rabbit) are far more hopeful than the world gives them a reason to be, but maybe that's what we need right now.
nsa legit : a deep reading of this game. Never expected to see it.
Zyfiel : Fantastic video like usual! My mom works at kindergartens, and its intresting when she speaks about the conflicts between the kids.
Luke Menniss : Mates the production on these videos always pulls me IN. Loving this channel. <3

Rejecting Gamer Identity | Escaping the Hype Machine

With a basis in how video game audiences have handled news droughts during 2020, we take a close examination on the relationship between so-called "gamer" identity and corporate marketing schemes. Perhaps there is a more healthy way to engage with the medium than uncritical consumption?

The Positiver : This video that I already loved is even more relevant now thanks to Nintendo announcing localization of a 30 year old Fire emblem game but again it's only limited... makes me not want any of these old games at all :(
OneShotUDie55 : Was sent over by a KingK retweet. Love the video.
Kevin Velazquez : Anyone else here because of the Fire Emblem release window news?
aquaticpixel : dont ask questions just consume product and then get excited for next products
flameguy21 : Man, the older I get, the less I care about what's coming out in the future. There's so many games ALREADY made that I still want to play that I can entertain myself for the rest of time.
Goldenclap : Ooh, stuff like this has been on my mind for a while, and I can admit I'm guilty of the consumption. The wanting to prove my "gamerness", or a desperate hunt for something that was there. Now I just kinda feel tired of the cycle. Great video.
MaraMaple610 : you two are so cute and this video is A+ like always!
Kyle Osborne : KIKI AND ALICIA FACE [screaming]
Kyle Osborne : BuT i MuSt HaVe My TREATS
JJ The Pikazard : gotta love the gamer cat

The Dialect of Moomin | The Finno-Swedish Identity of an Icon

Despite their international reach, there is a certain lingual flair to the Moomins and their world that is always lost in translation. Because of the way the books were initially written and what people enacted those stories, the Moomins quickly established a strong Finno-swedish identity in their mother-tongue, but never really anywhere else.

Cocaine is my Copilot : Please do that moomin video!! Thank you!
M K : First of all the only lover Snufkin is ever gonna be is nature's lover.
Fight me.
But all jokes aside this was one very beautiful and interesting video. That Moomin music that plays in the background brought up so many nostalgic memories. Thank you for making this amazing video.
Cheers from Finland.
Dickinsonia : As Finn it's intresting to hear the Swedish side of things
MrRaivokasMagma : And I thought it felt weird that Moominvalley (2019) sounded weird in Finnish dub, but Finno-Swedish dub felt more... Natural? Then I started thinking, when watching 90's cartoon (or anime, whatever you prefer) in Finno-Swedish as a kid (those few times I was channel browsing), it didn't feel weird at all. Yet Those few times I have heard Swedish dub, that has sounded weird.
yrjö : As a swedish finn, i love this.
And you gotta know finnish to really pull off the finno-swedish dialect.

Keep up the good work!
Twisty Sunshine : Give us the moomin primer and also the story of how it got popular in Japan
Kyle Osborne : Off with his nose!
Tadgh Cr : Love your editing and Moomin content!! Also love the focus on languages and how language is a moving part of culture that shapes and is shaped by other things❣️
Elsa Kathryn : Thank you for making this video. I learned a lot from it. I now understand why some people don't really like the newer reboot. I wasn't able to pin point where moominvalley was set in when I first watched it, and only found out about its origins after I read about tove jansson.
Nichtschwert : Love this. It came out really well. I think. I passed out after the bit about Moomin's *LOVER*, to be honest.
